Ruth Mangion

Hi Ruth! Now its your turn! By common request we want to get to know you better!

You were one of the first members of the group, right? When exactly did you join the group and what kept you attending the group regularly till this very day?

Ok-first meeting kien 1st November niftakar ghax Miriam ma setghatx tigi ax kellha hike ma taz-Zejtun. Ma niftakarx is-sena...1998?  The group kept me attending- the people I mean- kieku ma kienx hemm intkom zgur ma kontx nibqa. Nahseb li hassejt li hija worth it ninvesti ftit hin fikom!

I know that you were involved in the Summer school for the refugees. What does this experience mean to you?

JIen kull ma ridt naghmel xi haga fix-xahar li kont hawn Malta- biex ma nahlihx. The experience was a very nice one- I actually had fun with the children. And also fun organizing. I made some new friends. And it made me also think whether medicine was really the right choice- stajt naghzel teaching after all.

As a medical doctor in a few months' time you will be meeting many people (I'm  sure you already do!) in what way do you wish to convey the values you got from CLC to others people?

I hope so! Values ma nafx, pero' dan l-ahhar iltqajt ma clcers u rajt kif jahdmu mal-pazjenti. Meta tqabbilhom ma certu tobba ohra, nispera li eventwalment jkolli il-communication skills tajbin daqshom halli lil patients ma nfejjaqhomx biss bil-medicini imma wkoll bil-manjieri.

Thanks for you time and patience!
